On August 27, 2006, the Board of Directors of the United Dominicans of Kissimmee took their first oath. United Dominicans of Kissimmee is a non-profit organization promoting values and culture of the Dominican Republic among the community in Kissimmee.
The event, attended by approximately 100 members of the community, took place at Salsa Latina. Jaime Matos supports this type of initiative to promote multicultural development in the community.
